Little Flower Learning Center located at 5204 Zunie Rd S.E. in Albuquerque is looking for a new director. Little Flower has been in business enhancing childrens lives for over 30 years. We are a currently a level 3 school and we are looking for the new director to get us to level 5. Our new director will work directly with the owner to help run all aspects of the business to achieve a level 5 school and maintaining our reputation for excellence. Directors must be dedicated to positively representing Little Flower to the communities, inspiring and teaching children, and building a team of individuals who are committed to providing outstanding customer service.  On a daily basis you will be responsible for:

Job Description and requirements for the ideal candidate are below. Thank you very much for your application.
 • A degree in child development or early childhood education.
• Must have one year experience as a program director in a center licensed for more 24 children or one year experience as an assistant program director in a center licensed for more than 100 children. One year certificate in Early Childhood Education (ECE) or CDA or Associate's degree in Early Childhood .
• Creating and implementing local marketing plans to drive enrollment. Must be a able to enroll new families and give comprehensive tours of the day care. 
• The Center Director is responsible for the general and day-to-day operation of the center and managing of staff, office duties, keeping classroom ratios.
• Ensuring licensing standards are met and assisting in the accreditation process for the center. As the director you will be required to take the center from a level 3 to a level 5. 
• Detailed knowledge of all state of New Mexico child care requirements. 
• Detailed knowledge of child care federal food programs. 
• The Center Director is responsible for the general and day-to-day operation of the center and managing of staff, office duties, keeping classroom ratios.
• Able to relate positively to young children is essential.
• Flexibility.
• Bilingual. 
• Experience in management, business, and/or public relations would be beneficial.• Must continue accumulating required hours of training as required by state licensing agency and/or the corporate office.

Education and Development Manager - Race to the Top

The UNM Center for Development & Disability, Early Childhood Learning Network, has an opening for an Education and Development Manager for a new initiative, the NM Race to the Top Early Learning Challenge (RTT-ELC). The individual hired will help to expand and support a coordinated system of early learning and development for children from birth to age five that focuses on high-quality, comprehensive, community-specific programs with a continuum of integrated services. 

The individual hired will partner with key stakeholders and leaders in the field of early intervention and will work closely with the NM Department of Health Family Infant Toddler Program (FIT) RTT-ELC Lead on all project activities. This individual will also provide training, technical assistance, and consultation in coordination with FIT staff, project partners, contractors and providers.

Purpose of Position:
This position for the Public Education Department (PED), Coordinated School Health & Wellness Bureau, provides administrative and fiscal oversight for the 21st Century Community Learning Centers (21st CCLC) federal dollars, flowing to districts and communities that focus on quality before- and after-school programs. This position is responsible for monitoring program delivery and budgets and for the provision of technical assistance to grantees by defining needs, researching issues and determining appropriate methods for the provision of support. The 21st Century Coordinator ensures required program data collection and reporting is completed in compliance with federal and state guidelines. This position links quality before- and after-school programs with Coordinated School Health.
