NME CC.ORG was inspired by early childhood professionals throughout the state of New Mexico, is being developed by Teaching Solutions with input from the community, and is hosted by the New Mexico Association for the Education of Young Children (NMAEYC). When we share information and insights, promising practices and lessons learned, we can all benefit from the richness and diversity of resources that bless New Mexico. When we communicate, coordinate, and collaborate, we share the work and multiply the outcomes that ensure the well being of our youngest citizens. This site is dedicated to facilitating community building in support of children in New Mexico. As such it is not a traditional website or portal. It is intended to be a dynamic, interactive space for all those interested in supporting our youngest citizens. It is a place for all voices to be heard in a respectful, constructive way. Every family, every community may have differing visions for their children, but every parent wants their child to have whatever he or she needs to be a happy, productive citizen. How can we as a community ensure that every child has his or her needs met and gains the "psychological tools" (Vygotsky) necessary to be successful in their culture? Those who have an nmecc account can create discussion groups, add to the library, use google docs for collaboration, and access other google applications such as video chat and email.
